Bree Angus

Bree Angus *

Bree, 20, works full-time as a Trainee in field work for the Queensland Parks and Wildlife. Bree identifies ‘more easily accessible facilities and support e.g. youth workers, health care, and councillors’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.
Cayley Cohn

Cayley Cohn

Cayley, 16, is currently studying Year 11 at Moriah College. She is an active member of her school’s Social Action Committee, raising awareness of issues relevant to youth. Her interests include ensuring that youth entering the workforce are aware of their rights and obligations, and increasing awareness of services available to young people. Cayley identifies ‘facilitating dialogue to promote harmony between people of different faiths and cultures’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.
Simon Dortmans

Simon Dortmans

Simon, 18, is taking a year off from a Management/Marketing degree at Monash University. He is working part time at an abattoir. Simon identifies ‘minimising lack of direction (boredom) in rural areas causing problems related to drugs, alcohol and sex’ as the most important issue for the Australian government in relation to youth.
Talis Evans

Talis Evans

Talis, 18, is currently studying a Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management at the University of South Australia and works part-time at the Arkaba Hotel. He is a member of the Young Liberals. Talis identifies ‘healthcare services’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.
Anna Kroehn

Anna Kroehn

Anna, 23, works for the Services to Youth Council as a JPET project officer. She assists young people to get involved in their community, education, employment and to obtain a safe stable place to live. Anna is passionate about assisting young people to reach their full potential and overcome any barriers that stops them from reaching their dreams. Anna was a member of the National Youth Roundtable 2005-06.
