Merindah Donnelly
| Merindah, 23, is currently in her 2nd year of a Bachelor of Arts/Commerce degree at the University of New South Wales and working full-time as a Manager with Bloch. Merindah grew up in Tingah. She is passionate about Indigenous and Aboriginal education awareness. Merindah identifies ‘education/HSC for Indigenous students’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth. |

| Kirby, 23, is currently in her 3rd year of a Bachelor of Primary Education at the Southern Cross University and is actively involved in her local community and is an advocate on youth issues. She is currently seeking youth work on a part-time basis. Kirby identifies ‘youth participation’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth. |
Michael Galluzzo
| Michael, 20, is studying at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra for a degree in Arts/Law. Michael is the Indigenous Convener of ReconciliACTion and the Indigenous Officer of the ANU. He is involved at a local level with the Narrandera Shire Council. Michael was a member of the National Indigenous Youth Leadership Group (NIYLG) 2005-06 and is interested in the restoration and promotion of traditional language and culture. |
Samah Hadid
| Samah, 18, currently in her 2nd year of a Bachelor of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney. Samah identifies ‘youth participation and community engagement’ particularly among Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse youth as one of the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth. |
Travis Holland
| Travis, 20, is currently studying at the University of Canberra for a Bachelor of Sports Management. He is particularly interested in mental health issues. Travis identifies ‘ensuring respect and cooperation between young people and the wider community’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth. |
Serena Kent
| Serena, 21, is currently completing her Diploma of Community Services and also runs her own business, a freelance youth and community development service. She is passionate about rural communities, enterprise, youth participation and making a big picture difference for young people. Serena was a member of the National Youth Roundtable 2005-06. |
Esi Louis
| Esi, 21, is currently in her second year at the Australian Catholic University studying Theology and Social Work. She also works as a casual office assistant. She identifies ‘some migrant youth dropping out of school and not reaching their full potential or utilising all the services available to them’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth. |
Patsy Nai
| Patsy, 20, is currently in her 3rd year of a Bachelor in Medical Science at the University of New South Wales and also works part-time as a receptionist at Mercedes Benz-Airport Express. Patsy identifies ‘education at all levels’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth. |
Thuy Nguyen
| Thuy, 19, is in her final year at the University of New South Wales completing a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Business Law and Management. She is the Vice-President of GDPT HQ and the Vice-Chairperson on the Bankstown Youth Advisory Committee. Thuy identifies ‘youth unemployment – skilled and unskilled issues’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth. |
James Orchiston
| James, 20, is currently completing his degree in Communications at the University of Technology Sydney where he is majoring in political and sociological studies. He also works for a Federal Member of Parliament. James is involved in a range of local community projects and is interested in education, homophobia and youth engagement in the political process. James was a member of the National Youth Roundtable 2005-06. |
