Tara Anderson

Tara, 19, is currently studying for a Bachelor of Law at the University of Melbourne and works for Eastern Health as a Carer Peer Support Worker. Tara identifies ‘access to government – having a voice regarding policy and services’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.
Kat Byron

Kat Byron

Kat, 23, is working part-time with Northern Territory Aids and Hepatitis Council in the needle and syringe program. She is a member of the YBBlue crew – Beyondblue’s youth depression initiative. She identifies ‘youth health’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.

Matthew Christie

Matt, 17, is currently undertaking Year 12. Matt identifies ‘mental health’ as the most important issue for the Australian government in relation to youth, in particular the stigma attached to it and the mental health and wellbeing of young males.
Susan Harch

Susan Harch

Susan, 22, is studying a Bachelor Medicine/Surgery at Monash University and is currently undertaking research in Pathology (BMedSicHons). With personal and professional experience in both rural and metropolitan areas, she is interested in health promotion and primary healthcare, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. Susan was a member of the National Youth Roundtable 2005-06.

John Newton

John, 20, is working part-time as a charity collector for the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria. John identifies ‘employment / education and training’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.
Travis Holland

Travis Holland

Travis, 20, is currently studying at the University of Canberra for a Bachelor of Sports Management. He is particularly interested in mental health issues. Travis identifies ‘ensuring respect and cooperation between young people and the wider community’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.
Nicole Jones

Nicole Jones

Nicole, 19, is studying for a Bachelor of Social Science and Arts at the University of Queensland and works as a pharmacy assistant. Nicole identifies ‘mental health’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.
TJ Winner

TJ Winner

TJ, 21, is currently working as the Manager of Youth Programs at Eastern Goldfields YMCA. He identifies ‘the establishment of a strong social, cultural and personal identity’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.
