David Buster

David Buster

David, 15, is currently studying Year 9 at Pera Bore Christian School. He is also interested in renewable energies, training, education and employment opportunities. David identifies ‘youth leaving rural areas’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.
Gavin Crane

Gavin Crane

Gavin, 22, is currently in his 3rd year of a Bachelor in Agribusiness at the Muresk Institute, Curtin University. He is also Vice-President of WA Rural Youth. Gavin identifies ‘opportunity for youth in rural Australia’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.
Felix Ho

Felix Ho

Felix, 24, is currently undertaking university studies in Training and Development. Felix identifies ‘mental health for young people, especially suicide and mental health in rural communities’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.
Serena Kent

Serena Kent

Serena, 21, is currently completing her Diploma of Community Services and also runs her own business, a freelance youth and community development service. She is passionate about rural communities, enterprise, youth participation and making a big picture difference for young people. Serena was a member of the National Youth Roundtable 2005-06.
Catherine Maher

Catherine Maher

Catherine, 16, is currently in Year 11 at Loreto College. She regularly tutors Sudanese refugees in Saint Albans. Catherine identifies ‘attracting and retaining youth to rural areas, health promotion, education, opportunities and homeless youth living on the streets’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.
Brett Morris

Brett Morris

Brett, 23, is currently studying Certificate III in Youth Work at TAFE, is going to start a Certificate IV shortly and is working as an employment coordinator at Murray Bridge for Finding Workable Solutions Inc. Brett identifies ‘reduction in suicide and self harm and other social issues associated with boredom and employment issues in rural areas’ as the most important issue for the Australian Government in relation to youth.
